Issues in Material and Process of Fiber Splice Closure

- Apr 18, 2018 -

  1. In order to reduce the cost, some manufacturers use sub-materials or recycled plastics on the material of the joint box housing materials, resulting in severe cracking of the joint box after impacting the housing at low temperatures.

  2. The outer sheath of the optical cable is not fixed in the joint box because of poor processability or improper material selection.

  3. There is no process fillet or the process fillet is too small for the cable inlet and outlet of the connector box shell, which causes the leakage of the outer sheath of the cable when the cable is bent repeatedly.
