SMC is the abbreviation of sheet molding compound which is made of SMC special yarn, unsaturated resin, low shrinkage additives, fillers and various additives.It first appeared in Europe in the early 1960s. Around 1965, the United States and Japan successively developed this process. In the late 1980s, China introduced advanced SMC production lines and production processes. SMC has functions like excellent electrical properties, corrosion resistance, light weight and easy engineering design, flexibility, and its mechanical properties, which can be comparable with some of the metal materials, are widely used in transportation vehicles, construction, electronics / electrical and other industries.
The box is made of SMC unsaturated polyester glass fiber material through a high temperature molding, and the reinforced plastic is cured under high temperature and high pressure. SMC series molding plastic molding process: Molding temperature: 150 °C ± 5 °C ;Pressure holding time: 60-70s / mm; Molding pressure: 10-20Mpa. The specific process is depent on the product and mold structure, if the product thickness is relatively thick, the temperature should be slightly lower; the general molding temperature is 135°C-145°C; the more complex the shape, the higher the molding pressure.
High mechanical strength and good flame retardancy - due to SMC composite material, the box has light weight, high mechanical strength, and has good flame retardant. The door adopts a full-length hinge in the longitudinal direction, which is not easily deformed and has good interchangeability.
